The Hope Center food pantry is happy to serve families once per week.  The Hope Center offers* clients the opportunity to get a food pantry with desired items, just like a typical grocery store.

Steps for RESERVING a slot time to get a food pantry:

1. Please select the time slot that best fits your schedule.
2. Then, show up on the day of your appointment to get your food pantry.
3. Find a seat on the right side of the Equipping Center in the section corresponding to your shopping* window time. 

1. Don't you have an appointment? Walk-ins are welcome with a waiting period of about one hour and thirty minutes. We get ONLY 20^ walk-ins each day of food distribution (Tuesday and Wednesday). Please go to the Equipping Center. Once you arrive, talk to one of our volunteers and let them know about that. They will add you to the walk-in list for the day. 

(^This number could be lower. The HOPE CENTER manager/Coordinator will determine that)

2. Due to the high number of clients coming to pick up a food pantry, we RECOMMEND you schedule a window time* to pick up the food in advance next week. Our volunteers located at the Equipping Center can also assist you with this.

 3. If you're a FIRST-TIME CLIENT at any FOOD BANK of the Houston Food Bank, you MUST complete the HFB FOOD APPLICATION even if you previously reserved a time to pick up your food with us. We can help you to complete it. Please go to the Equipping Center. Once you arrive, talk to one of our volunteers about it. 

* You may only shop during your designated time slot.  There is no longer a need to arrive early to get a better spot.  Simply arrive 10 minutes before your shopping window to get checked in and you can shop shortly after.

PLEASE NOTE: Anyone who arrives past their shopping window could not be able to shop, but would be given a pre-packed box of dry groceries to bring home.

La despensa de alimentos de El Hope Center se complace en servir a las familias una vez por semana. El Hope Center ofrece* a los clientes la oportunidad de obtener una despensa con los artículos que en verdad desean, como lo harían en una típica tienda de supermercado.

Pasos para el RESERVAR un lapso de tiempo para obtener la despensa de comida:

1. Selecciona la ventana de tiempo que mejor se ajuste a su horario.
2. Luego, preséntate el día de su cita para conseguir su despensa de alimentos.
3. Encuentra un asiento en el lado derecho del Centro de Equipamiento (Equipping Center) en la sección correspondiente a tu horario de compras.

1. ¿No tienes cita? Las personas sin cita previa son bienvenidas con un período de espera aproximado de una hora y treinta minutes. Recibimos SÓLO 20^ personas sin cita previa cada día de distribución de alimentos (martes y miércoles). Por favor dirígete al Centro de Equipamiento. Una vez que llegues, habla con uno de nuestros voluntarios e infórmale al respecto. Te agregarán a la lista de visitas sin cita previa del día.

 2. Debido a la gran cantidad de clientes que vienen a recoger una despensa de alimentos, te RECOMENDAMOS que programes con anticipación un horario* para recoger la comida la próxima semana. Nuestros voluntarios ubicados en el Centro de Equipamiento también podran asistirte en programarla.                           

3. Si eres un cliente nuevo en cualquier BANCO DE ALIMENTOS del Banco de Alimentos de Houston, DEBES completar tu APLICACION DE ALIMENTOS incluso si previamente reservaste un horario para recoger tu despensa con nosotros. Podemos ayudarte a completarla. Por favor dirígete al Centro de Equipamiento. Una vez que llegues, habla con uno de nuestros voluntarios al respecto.  

*Solo podrás comprar durante el horario designado. Ya no es necesario llegar temprano para conseguir un mejor lugar. Simplemente llega 10 minutos antes de tu ventana de compras para revisar tu registro y podrás comprar poco después.

TEN EN CUENTA: Cualquier persona que llegue pasada su hora de compra podría perder su oportunidad de comprar, pero recbiría una caja previamente empaquetada con alimentos secos para llevar a casa.
